A Family Business

Williams
 Dorchester Street, Bath 1938

A family business started in the 1930s, G Williams & Sons has been developed and expanded by several generations of the Williams family.

The main core of the business has always been memorial masonry and we have also successfully applied our specialist stonemasonry skills to the manufacture of bespoke stonework commissions.

We have produced many prestigious commissions including the large carved stone crests at the entrances to Bath University, as well as numerous commemoration plaques such as the large obelisk lettered in 22 different languages for the Bible Society building in Swindon, which was unveiled by the Queen Mother in 1986.

Bristol&West Memorials

Our sister company Bristol & West Memorials, also based in Kingswood, provides memorials for customers in and around Bristol and has established close links with the local cemeteries and crematoriums in Bristol and surrounding areas.

In the words of our customers....

"Thank you for the extremely prompt manner with which my dear Margaret's memorial stone was produced and placed in position, well in time for the anniversary of her going on to the Greater Life. I must say how very pleased I am with the final result - an excellent remembrance portrayed with first-rate craftsmanship."
David Whittock
"My lovely uncle suddenly passed away and living such a distance away made arrangements more difficult. However, I went on the Williams website and made contact - I received a phone call about my request.
From the onset Colin has listened to all my requests - offered his expertise without influencing what we wanted for my uncle. When he emailed me my uncle's stone in its rightful place, I have to admit it made me cry - the stone was beautiful and captured everything we wanted. The service I have received has been excellent and professional - I am glad I found their website."
Yvonne Sandall
"I would like to say a big 'Thank you' for your kindness and understanding whilst I was struggling to choose the memorial shape and inscription for my late husband's memorial.  Your patience and understanding meant a lot to me at such a difficult time.  The memorial is everything I had hoped it would be and looks lovely, so my sincere thanks once again."
